A few nights ago, Greg and Gabe had their first ever water war. It was pretty one-sided, Greg holding the hose and Gabe running around the yard screaming and while both of them laughed their heads off.
All of the sudden Gabe seems so big. He WANTED to be sprayed. He WANTED to be soaked. He LOVED it. He's a big boy now. Not a little toddler, a big kid who swims with water wings and likes spicy chicken. He gets himself dressed and has his own sense of style. He wants to do schoolwork. He likes climbing ladders and picking veggies from the garden and racing his bike at breakneck speed in the driveway. And he said to me the other day, "Mom, you don't have to come on the walk with us, you can just stay here at home and rest and I'll go just with Daddy."
