GC Advance

Here are some pictures from our first ever GC Advance (youth retreat). We had a lot of fun and had GREAT times with the Lord. Thank you all so much for praying for us!

The best thing ever to see ... teenagers spending time with Jesus on their own!

This Time Last Year!

I was looking through some old pictures today, and thought ... I wonder if we have any pictures from this time last year? We did - can you believe that these pictures? How much has changed since then! Gabe is bigger, Evan is here ~ and almost one ... What a blessed year we've had! I'm so grateful to the Lord for His mercy that is new every day for us.

Tricks and Faces

So this is Evan's newest trick. He turns the ottoman from the glider rocker upside down, pulls out the foot rest and rocks the top back and forth. He's getting really quick at it now. At first, I thought that Gabriel was flipping it over, but then I saw Evan do it himself. It's pretty heavy!

This is Gabe's "Grrr..." face. (Which he loves to make for the camera. I think that lately every one out of 3 pictures of him is this face.) He is so funny sometimes!
Keeping them both busy and out of trouble has been a little difficult lately, but now, with the nice weather ... we are bike-riding, walk-taking, mud-loving fiends! Yesterday, Greg was home with us, so we went to the local park, had a picnic and played on their playground. Gabe had so much fun running around and climbing everything. He loves all the tunnels and steps and slides, but he's not too crazy about the swinging bridges or tire bridges etc. Evan even went on the slide and drove the boat! If only Evan could walk ... letting him crawl on the driveway or in the muddy, stick-poking, dead grass lawn or in the wood chips at the park... I don't think I'm okay with that. He rides a bike though. Maybe today I'll catch it on video and upload it sometime soon!

5 YEARS!

Can you believe that Greg and I have been married for over 5 years now? It has been wonderful. God chose the most excellent man for me! I could not imagine anyone else that I would like to be spending my life with. He is exactly what God knew that I needed. (I love you, babe!)
To celebrate our anniversary, we went away for the weekend to Lancaster, PA. It was lots of fun and very relaxing. Some friends of ours gave us tickets to go see Sight and Sound's "Daniel and the Lions Den"! It was great (if you have never been, put it on your "to see" list). We took tours, ate at great restaurants, swam in the indoor pool, visited some shops (thanks to Anna and John, who stopped at a tourist place last time they were down, and then gave us brochures and where to gos and where not to gos!) and took in the warm, relaxing smell of manure while we watched horse-drawn plows turn over rich soil in anticipation of planting! The weather was great, perfect for walks. We even had some time on Sunday to play miniature golf (hence the picture above). The boys went for a visit to "Grampa and Gramma Moe's" house. They had lots of fun too.
